At Clausen & Severson, we pride ourselves on the legal expertise we’ve gained through years of experience, and on the personal attention we provide our clients.
Legal Expertise: We have worked on both sides. We both began our careers as prosecutors in central Wisconsin and gained substantial experience trying criminal cases. Then, as defense counsel to various insurance carriers until we founded Clausen & Severson in 2001, we learned how those companies analyze and deal with claims. In that world, the bottom line is king. Claims are “losses,” and of course one way to maximize profits is to minimize those losses. That focus on profit leads to a variety of practices, including an emphasis on workplace safety (obviously a good thing), but also an emphasis on settling quickly and cheaply with unrepresented claimants (frequently not such a good thing for the person who has been injured). You don’t have to face bureaucratic behemoths by yourself; we like to help people fight Goliath.
Personal Attention: We are passionate advocates for our clients. Because we are a smaller firm, we are able to provide our clients the kind of personal attention that larger firms cannot. We recognize the importance of frequent communication with clients and of a forthright approach. Helping injured people get the compensation they deserve is our specialty. If you have been injured, let us help you navigate the legal process so you can concentrate on recovering and moving on with your life.
